On Tuesday June 6th, our beloved Nicholas was hiking in Zion National Park with a friend. They summitted at 7:45 am and proceeded to the descent hike. It was during a tricky steep descent that Nicholas fell approximately 30 feet and then proceeded to slide another 70 feet before landing on ridge. His friend was able to summon help, however it took quite some time for the rescue team to reach Nicholas due to the difficult terrain. After heroic intervention from his friend and the rescue team, he was air lifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. We are overwhelmed with God's goodness that Nicholas is alive. Although he has multiple fractures and has suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), he is stable at this time and will require time and rehabilitation for healing. Thank you for upholding Nicholas and the Muzik family with prayers in this difficult time of need. Our God is mighty to save.
Many of you have asked how you can help and these offers have been deeply appreciated. We are hoping to help the Muzik family offset the financial expense of his treatment. The financial expenses include two life-saving helicopters, medical expenses, cost of residing in Utah, and constant travelling between Illinois and Utah. Thank you in advance for your never ending support, love and prayers. Anything will help him and his family get through this rough time.
